Rockin' in Ra'anana - and doing some good too

If your email address is on the Malki Foundation emailing list, the chances are you already know about our upcoming fund-raising concert in Ra'anana, Israel, on July 13.

But as a reminder, and in case the word slipped by you, the salient details are detailed here again - and on our new dedicated concert website at www.rainbowofmusic.org.

For five consecutive years, the Malki Foundation's Rainbow of Music concerts featuring the wonderful Ramatayim Mens Choir under the baton of the omni-talented Richard Shavei-Tzion and with the participation of a roster of headlining singers, have delivered on the promise: a great evening in pleasant company, a foot-tapping, rousing musical experience, and the chance to do some good in the community just by participating.

For a taste of the spirit, click here for some selected video clips of past shows.

It's been a winning formula. And of course the work of the Malki Foundation has benefited in material terms: from the proceeds of ticket sales, from the revenues generated by the ad-filled programme, from the raffles that have come to be part of the night's enjoyment; and from the growing awareness that these concerts help to generate.

On that last point, take a look [here] at the text of a brief speech delivered at this year's Jerusalem Rainbow of Music concert by Elad X, the father of a child challenged by CP who spoke of the meaningful ways the Malki Foundation's programs have made a positive difference to his son's progress: moving, very impactful and memorable.

The first five annual Rainbow of Music concerts have quickly been embraced by audiences as major musical draw-cards in Jerusalem, with tickets being sold-out faster with each passing year. Success is hard to argue with - the word gets out, the tickets are grabbed, the audiences enthuse and the evenings are memorable and entertaining.

Now for the first time, and following the great success of the March 2016 concert in Jerusalem [photos here], we are delighted to be holding a Rainbow of Music concert outside Jerusalem, in Ra'anana (a city located on Tel Aviv's northern edge, for readers less familiar with the lay of the Land.)

Along with the Ramatayim Men's Choir under Richard Shavei-Tzion's superb direction, the show will feature two of the brightest stars of previous Jerusalem concerts. Shai Abramson [singing magnificently here] and Yitzchak Meir [a medley video here].

The event is set for Wednesday night, July 13, 2016 at the Ra'anana Music Hall. Tickets can be ordered online - please click here. Or phone the Malki Foundation office in Jerusalem on 02-567-0602 during office hours. And please consider buying some extra raffle tickets for family and friends while putting through your ticket order.

Keep in mind that all proceeds from the concert go to the Malki Foundation's unique and effective programs for children with special needs. And special thanks to the Rainbow of Music major sponsors: The Pratt Foundation; Eric Cohen Books Ltd; and Mizrachi Tefahot.
