Three Peaks Update | The 2015 Challenge is now officially underway

A proud snap above of the Malki Foundation's nine intrepid hikers setting out from London Gatwick Airport tonight to conquer Ben Nevis, the first mountain on their ‪3Peaks‬ Challenge. Good luck to all of you: James Harari, Simon Gold, Elaine Gold, Marc Jackson, Scott Sedar, Francesca Harris, Adam James Kramer, Shalom Solomon, Jonathan Schneider. Your success is our success.

For those not already familiar with what's ahead, the hikers will climbing three UK peaks: Ben Nevis / Beinn Nibheis (1,344 m or 4,409 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland. Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England. And Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales. According to Wikipedia, the total distance they will have walked is estimated at 42 kilometres (26 mi) or 44 km (27 mi) with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).

All being well, they will be back in London early on Monday morning, October 12, 2015.
